I keep fixating on the idea of starting a band. Something with an Abba/Ace of Base sound...like the Numa Numa song...with asian schoolgirls. (Yes, I know Gwen Stefani tried this...)
Growing up in Japan, my musical tastes tend to be very J-Poppy -- electronic music, *very* fast paced, with high pitched female vocalists. A couple of years ago (when Power Rangers, Yugi-Oh, etc. were becoming popular), I posited that all things from *my* childhood were finally coming over to the US (and kids growing up when I was in my mid-twenties would have the same "culture" that I did). To that end, I figured a J-Pop style band NOW would be a perfect breakout band -- and would seem to be the logical evolution of the Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears (or Spice Girls/t.A.t.U. for the globally aware set).
